Hillary's Crafternoon // My First Blogger Event // Joe Bloggers Network

Hi guys!
What do you get when you take a beautiful tearoom in Glasgow, a soupcon of lovely bloggers, gorgeously decadent cake, and the new fabric range from Hillary's Blinds? Hillary's Crafternoon is what you get dear readers. Other answers floating around in my head are, a rollicking good time, and pinpricked fingers!

If you haven't guessed by now, I was one of the lucky bloggers that were invited to take part in a crafting event with The Crafty Hen, Joe's Bloggers and Hillary's.

We all gathered into the lovely Butterfly & Pig and were told what we were going to be doing with our afternoon- now I'm not going to lie, I cheated a little and checked up on the previous crafternoons to see what we were in for- which included making our very own notebook cover. If you know me at all you will know I am absolutely obsessed with notebooks (73 and rising in my current collection) so I was super excited about making something so "me".

I am seriously coveting this cabinet! also sorry about catching the Crafty Hen mid-word...

Pretty pretty wall decor, and the colours are seriously my dream colours.

We were given our choice of fabrics from Hillary's new range and I just had to have this gorgeous bluey/silvery/greeny shiny material. The pattern is so simple but beautiful at the same time.
It has to be said that this little project was nowhere near as easy as it sounds, but with a little help from the lovely Michelle of DIY Shopaholic I got there in the end.

Hillary's Blinds, Crafternoon, Notebook

I was quite proud of how it turned out if I'm honest, and the best part is that once the notebook inside is finished I can just slip in another one :-).

It was lovely getting to know the other bloggers, that I was sat with, while we worked on our notebooks (and while I personally worked on not pricking myself with the needle every two seconds)! And we were given a chance to have a natter when the lovely servers brought us our beautiful cakes.

Now I am definitely not a big cake eater but I did have a taste of the lovely Red Velvet cake (picture at the top) and it was very yummy. If you like cake you absolutely should pop along to try these out. The fit for a Princess pink concoction above was Michelle's cake, but I couldn't resist taking a picture.

After cake we were given our second project of the day which was way, way harder than our wee notebook cover!! We got to make a stuffed bird, now some of you may know that I hate birds-this task didn't do anything to change my mind! I used the same fabric because come on it's damn pretty, and I like things to match. Now my complete inability to sew anything other than a rogue button became really apparent here, but I got there in the end and created this little beauty...

I'd like to say that the feathery effect on my bird's tail was intentional but honestly it just happened as the fabric started to fray, but hey it looks good, right??

All in all I had a fabulous time at my first blogger's event, and I can't thank the companies involved more for the invite!
Special mention to Bex at Evil Ginger who made me feel comfortable as soon as I arrived. I am not the best in new social situations but the ladies sat with me on the day made it a relatively painless experience.

I can't wait until the next event, and hopefully next time I won't leave with countless pinpricks in my fingers and jeans!!

My Little Box March Edition // Superhero Box // Spoilers

Oh my god how much do I love My Little Box?! This month the excitement started as soon as they sent out the little hint email you get just before your box arrives- keywords like Superhero, Wonderwoman, and fabulous- excited my inner geek and outer feminist. So when the lovely postie lady knocked on my door on Thursday with my package I couldn't wait to rip it open. Let's have a look inside shall we...

I'm not gonna lie I literally squealed "Ah stickers!!" When I opened the box, I love a good sticker -In fact there are some more in my Payday haul post which is going live tomorrow. Anyway underneath the stickers were this months copy of My Little World, our little fabric bags of beauty treats and a weird tube like gift.

I desperately wanted to see what was inside the tube, but the blogger in me was repeating "no Aj you have to take pictures first!" so I waited until I got home from work and had taken all the pretty pictures you see here.

What's in the box?
My Little World
Gat Rimon t-shirt
Beauty Bag

The Gat Rimon t-shirt is so cool, but a bit thin. In the theme of superheroes the t-shirt has the phrase 'I believe I can fly' printed on it and I love it. The model on the front of My Little World is wearing one which says 'We can be heroes just for one day' which I would have loved even more but when the t-shirt cost £29 retail, I can't really complain can I. I will say though that putting clothes in a beauty box can be risky for a company that doesn't take details from subscribers like size etc, this t-shirt is one size and It's really baggy on me, looking at it on I would say it would fit a 12-14 perfectly.

What's in the bag?

K√©rastase Cristaliste Conditioner 75ml
This conditioner sounds so much like what I need for my hair! It promises luminous silky hair, and who doesn't want that. Recently my hair has been getting very oily on top and dry and fuzzy at the ends so I've been searching for a new conditioner...are the people behind My Little Box psychic?

You know I think they might be because the next gift in the bag was...

Caudalíe Paris Gourmet Hand and Nail Cream 30ml
We're told this hand cream is organic and contains anti-oxidants so yay natural! In comes in such an expensive looking tube (which is always nice). My hands have always been really dry but lately with pulling a metal trolley every day I've been getting calluses and even drier patches so I'm hoping this helps...stay tuned!

And last but by no means least:

My Little Beauty Lips & Cheeks Crayon
Once again the packaging is cute as a button (and straight out of the Topshop makeup range if you ask me) and the product inside isn't too bad either! This is a creamy product that slides on like a dream. It's essentially a lipstick that you can use as a cheek stain, and who doesn't love double duty products. I'm not really a big blush wearer, I prefer the contour look if I'm honest, but this is the perfect coral colour for my lips.

So yeah, once again My Little Box have made me more than happy to part with my money each month. Have you signed up yet? What do you think of this month's box? Want me to make signing up even easier for you? Well alright then here you go...My Little Box.

What's Your "Bad Weather" Stereotype

The weather has been bloody horrendous in Scotland lately! Aberdeen has actually had the best weather of the lot, but in the last week I have been to Inverness, Dundee, Edinburgh and Glasgow so I have experienced every instance of crappy weather. It was on one particularly wet & windy day that I realised that there are four types of people you encounter in bad weather, you ready?

The Wicked Witches
I'm Melting, Wizard of Oz, Deviant Art, H0ll0WED

These are the people that cannot, under any circumstances, let the rain touch them! You see, much like the wicked witch of the east (Wizard of Oz reference for those just landing from Mars) if these people get wet they will proceed to melt until they turn into a puddle of clothes and weird orange smoke.

How to spot a Wicked Witch:

Wicked witches are easy to spot because they are standing in one place. Usually seen crowding together in a shop doorway or under a particularly fetching awning, these people will block your entrance to said store, and stay in position until the rain stops.

N.b. Many wicked witches have simply given up in the city of Aberdeen and have decided never to leave the house.

The Mary Poppins':
Umbrella in the wind

The Mary Poppins' aren't as cheery as they sound. They are quite like the Wicked Witches in the respect that the really don't want to get wet so they came prepared. By prepared I mean these clever cookies brought a brolly...but then the wind hits!

How to spot a Mary Poppins:

Mary Poppins' can be seen desperately trying to stay dry whilst fighting with an umbrella which is actively trying to hit people or take off into the world of lost umbrellas. Most of the time these people will lose their fight and become one of two other stereotypes- Wicked Witches Or The Flash.

The Flash:

These people are fast! One minute they are there and the next *poof* gone!
the flash

How to spot a Flash:

If you do it will be a miracle. These people are so quick they may actually make it home without getting a drop of rain on them. Typical characteristics are the head down, hunchback stance and whippet fast feet. They may be speed-walking, skip walking or just flat out running, but you bet your ass they are getting where they are going faster than you.

The Easter Island Heads:

Ah the mysterious statues and the even more mysterious people! I'm at a loss as to why these people all suddenly have the same facial expression as soon as the wind and rain hits, but the most certainly do.

How to spot and Easter Island Head:

The furrowed brow is the most apparent characteristic of these particular humans. It's almost as if they are puzzled by this wet stuff falling from the sky. It's either the inquisitive puzzled look or these people are actual geniuses that have discovered that furrowing your brow creates a ridge above the eyes protecting the rest of the face from the damp onslaught. Tell us Easter Islanders why do you do this??

Okay, now I know I said at the start that there were four types of people but whilst writing this I realised there are actually five...

Yes ME! I am a whole other type of rain person. I'm the crazy woman, Dick Van Dyking round lampposts, catching the rain on my tongue and singing along to whatever is on my iPhone (not going to lie it's almost always Taylor Swift). I love the rain, it is so refreshing, especially when you've just gotten off a stuffy train, which in my line of work is most of the freaking time.

So which stereotype suits you? Or are you just like me and Gene Kelly? Let me know if I've missed any!

The Versatile Blogger Award

I have discovered so many lovely people over the last couple of months in the blogging community. I know all the non-bloggers out there are probably thinking "Did she honestly just type blogging community?" and I DID because it really is. These fellow bloggers support each other, share hints and tips, actually give a damn if you are having a good day or not- it is the best community I have ever been a part of. Just the other day when I was having an awful day -brought on mostly by overcharged hormones (damn things) and horrible, horrible people- not one, but two. fellow bloggers managed to make me smile! Go them! The first was the lovely Olivia Jade at Dungarees and Donuts and her #sharelove movement- keep an eye on her blog to see what it's all about. And second was my spirit animal Hayley at It's Just Me Hayley D who very kindly nominated me for the Versatile Blogger Award. Both these ladies had such lovely things to say that I was truly flattered...but enough prattling on let's do this Versatile Blogger Award thing!!

Versatile blogger award

As I understand it The Versatile Blogger Award is an award for newbie bloggers, much like the Liebster Award but with slightly different rules. This time I have to tell you all 7 random facts about me (have we not heard enough already?) and then nominate 15 newbie bloggers to take on the task themselves.

Here Goes...

  1. I am an Angel Mum - Our baby would have been turning 1 on the 18th of March 2015 (if he had been born on time) but instead he is partying on the clouds and we will light a candle in his honour, in his own little, engraved tealight holder,
  2. I am 27 years old and still don't really know what I want to do when I "grow up" and do you know what I'm not even worried about it. When I'm ready to make that decision I will make it, and if it is the wrong one, I'll do something else...it's not the end of the world to change your mind.
  3. I hate the feeling of having wet skin. Here's where it gets weird...I love the feeling of the water falling over me in the shower BUT the minute I step out of that shower I need to be drying off because the feeling of half wet/half dry skin actually gives me the creeps.
  4. I *whisper it* am becoming a bit of a professional wrestling fan! (Don't tell Damian).
  5. I have recently added Unicorns to my growing obsession list. They join turtles, Tangled, Princess Aurora, and angel wings- just warning a certain somebody that the flat will be filling up with these soon.
  6. I recently gave into the devil and purchased a Kindle. This admission hurts me deeply BUT when two of your favourite authors start releasing additional stories from your favourite worlds on ebook only, there is no other choice. I'm looking at you Kami Garcia and Margaret Stohl!!
  7. I collect hotel room keycards! When I say collect I mean steal, and then add to my memories box. I don't even remember when this started but It's like a mini mission every time I stay in a hotel. "Oops I lost my key", "I'm so sorry but I seem to have left my key in the room", "can we get one each please" all things I have said that weren't necessary, or necessarily true, but that culminated in me adding another key to my collection.
Wow these things are getting difficult!

I guess I better nominate a few people:
Bex at Evil Ginger
Dyan at The Little Blog of Everything
Fiona at Wishes, Hopes and Dreams
Ashton at Beauty, Books and Babble
Beth at Bethany-Georgina
Keating (awesome name btw) at KeatingMary
Mark at That Gent Mark
The mysterious A at Wonderings2015
Bowie-Marie at Disasters of a Twenty-Something

Melissa at Fruity Flamingo
Charlotte at Colours and Carousels
Laura at A Life with Frills
Kelly at This Northern Girl
Lisa at The China Doll Diaries
Morag at mo'adore

Have fun ladies :-).

Pretty Little Liars // The First Time

I have always wanted to do a "thoughts I had whilst..." post and tonight I finally took the plunge and watched Pretty Little Liars for the first time EVER! So without further ado here are the "Thoughts I had whilst watching PLL for the first time"...

Wow Lucy Hale is freaking BEAUTIFUL!

Oh my God it's Crazy nanny Carrie.

If I get really into this show it's just going to reignite my Holly Marie Combs brow envy!

No, but seriously, Lucy Hale...WCE (That's Woman Crush Everyday FYI)

So everyone in Rosewood is like really rich then?

Jeez people!Stop tweeting me during Pretty Little Liars.

If I got arrested for shoplifting I'd have been grounded for life- does Hanna even get punished??

Who the fuck is Jenna??

Mmm fine, Ben & Jerrys.

AWKWARD- mum is getting freaky, and who looks at their daughter like that whilst hooking up??

So, I just ate a whole bag of brownies and the episode isn't even finished yet!

Kiss Her! (I don't care if you're her teacher, she's HOT!)

AHH, so THAT'S Jenna.

This detective has a bit of a chip on his shoulder, no?

Okay Jenna has some serious hair game. Is she blind? Who does her hair???

Oh crap now I'm crushing on Aria's eyebrows too.

Aw synchronised cryptic text reading- cute!

Okay seriously- do we really not find out who 'A' is for another six seasons?

13 SECONDS?? Netflix, screw your 13 seconds, gimme episode 2 NOW!!

So that was fun. I think I can understand why people are seriously addicted to this show. Now I just need Netflix to stop being super judgemental and just play the next episode unless I tell it otherwise (like seriously why isn't this an option?)

I think you can probably guess that I enjoyed the first (and second) episodes of Pretty Little Liars, and can't wait to watch more. Do you love it? Does it get any better? Will I be able to avoid 'A' spoilers? Ooh so many questions...let me know what you think in the comments or as always come chat on Twitter.

Woman Crush Wednesday // Angelina Jolie

My little sister suggested Angelina Jolie for my first WCW and she's bloody right! Not only is Angelina stunningly beautiful but she is also an amazing woman. Let;s look at the facts shall we:

Angelina is an Oscar winning actress for her appearance in Girl Interrupted.

She is a UN Goodwill Ambassador.

She is a staunch advocate of women's rights.

She is a kick-ass director, with films like In the Land of Blood and Honey and Unbroken.

She juggles a family with SIX children, with all her other commitments...yeah she has nannies but christ on a bike that is some achievement.

She loves to get involved in politics.

She campaigns for women affected by rape.

She has started a number of charities including the Maddox Jolie-Pitt foundation, and Education Partnership for Children of Conflict, among others.

She is dedicated to environmental conservation.

She regularly puts herself in danger in order to aid people in countries which are experiencing unrest- be it political or natural.

She travelled to Haiti, with Brad, whilst pregnant in order to help those displaced by the earthquake.

She took the very brave step to undergo a double mastectomy when she discovered she carried the BRCA1 gene. Her very open interviews about this helped bring to light exactly what millions of women go through, and exactly what measures can be taken.

Oh and did I mention that three of her six children were adopted, saved from hard lives in horrendous conditions, and given a chance in life that many take for granted.

And finally...after a friend pointed it out to me on Twitter, I realised that I had to add in this:
She is fully supportive of her young daughter identifying as a boy. Shiloh Pitt has been seen dressed in masculine clothing as early as 2010, it is well documented that she asked her parents to treat her as one of the boys, and most recently we have been let in on the fact that she no longer wants to be called Shiloh and has chosen John instead, And the Jolie-Pitt's are open about it, caring, and completely onboard. Whether this is just a phase (which is what some child psychologists are claiming), or John will actually grow up to identify as a male, or even gender neutral, you get the sense that Angelina will be 110% behind him.

Angelina Jolie, Woman Crush Wednesday, WCW, Inspiration

Angelina truly is an inspiration, and you can read some of the reasons why here.

I believe that Angelina fully deserves her place on my list of Woman Crushes, don't you? Let me know what you think of my first choice, and maybe suggest future subjects for WCW, in the comments or on Twitter :-).

You can read all about what I am trying to do with these Woman Crush Wednesday posts here.

Woman Crush Wednesday!

I'm sitting here on International Women's Day (8th of March) thinking that maybe we should look closer to home when asking for solidarity in this equal rights movement. Of course I am not saying that we shouldn't be encouraging men to stand up and fight alongside us, of course we should, men should be our biggest allies, but there are so many women out there that need to be brought on side too!

Women need to be their own biggest cheerleaders, women need to stop allowing feminists to be tarred with the "batty, braless, barren women with an axe to grind" brush, women need to be nicer to each other, women are going to be the change.

Now I am not here saying that all women must love all other women because that is just not realistic. Some women are horrible, some women just have different views in life, and some women just don't get on, that's life it's the same for men too! However, I am saying that we need to start being nicer to each other, in general. If we as women are constantly tearing each other down then how can we ever expect the rest of the world to take us seriously?

It is with this in mind that I have decided to add another new series to the blog. I hope you have all heard of WCW- Woman Crush Wednesday- essentially it's another popular hashtag on Twitter/Instagram etc, in the same vain as Throwback Thursday. The onus being that one Wednesdays you share a picture or whatever of the woman you are crushing on that day! Simple really, and this hashtag is regularly full of scantily clad women, just doing their thing, and being lauded for being beautiful.

Well in my world Woman Crush Wednesday is about to get way better...because I pledge that my Inductees into the Love and OAS WCW Hall of Fame, will be included not just for their beauty, but for their brains, their politics, their hard work and their all round awesome womanness!

I'm really excited to start this series and hope you all tune in for it. Now if you excuse me I'm off to figure out who my first inductee should be, if you have any suggestions please do leave me a comment!

The 1989 Tag // Taylor Swift

I love me some Taylor Swift! I first discovered her around the time Teardrops on My Guitar came out and she just keeps getting better and better! 1989 is an amazing album which I literally play on repeat everytime I walk to and from work (which is every day!). So when I saw this 1989 Tag on That Gent Mark I just had to do it! So here we go...

Welcome to New York // If you could live in any city, which would it be and why?
This is easy and not easy at the same time! I want to live in so many big cities, my life plan includes time in London, Manchester and New York. But ultimately we want to settle in San Fransisco so I think it should win this question. In preparation for our final destination, I actively walk up steep hills and major staircases, I mean have you seen the streets in San Fransisco??? I'm going to admit that the TV show Charmed was the thing that made me fall in love with San Fransisco in the first place, but it is more the lifestyle, the culture, and the area itself that have made it my end goal.

Blank Space // What is something everyone thinks is true about you but is actually false?
That I am super confident. I am a big believer in fake it until you make it. I think this is why people assume I am so much more confident than I actually am. I get nervous in almost every social situation, I hate talking to people on the phone, I get proper nervous every time I sing in front of a crowd, meeting new people scares the life out of me. I could go on, but the point is that I may look calm and confident, on the outside, but inside my brain is going ten to the dozen and I'm scared as hell.

Style // What is one item in your closet that makes you feel unstoppable?
I have a ridiculously overstuffed closet so I thought this would be difficult but after thinking about it for a few minutes I realised the answer is simple! My black croc effect courts are definitely my go to item. They have the ability to change my mood from "meh, I hate my body" to "damn girl your legs ARE ridiculously long for a shorty". If I'm feeling iffy I always chuck on my heels and my mood elevates along with my barely there butt!

Out of the Woods // What is one thing you are afraid of?
Oh God there are so many things!! But if I have to pick just one I guess it would be birds (mainly because the reasoning is funnier for you guys to read). So, when I was young me and the family used to go to the Norfolk Broads during the Summer holidays, we'd hop on a boat and tootle around Norfolk for a week and it would be great. Or at least it would have been great if one day, after a particularly heavy downpour, my dad had not let my sister help with pulling up the rain canopy on the boat! You see, dear sister let go of said canopy, so it came crashing down on me as I leaned over the side of the boat to feed the swans! I was literally trapped, with my body in the boat and my head poking out as the advancing swans decided my face looked more appetising than the feed I had for them! It was horrific and I've been afraid of swans ever since. I have since been bitten by an owl which I was assured "has never bitten anyone before", and a goose, when I finally decided on a hike in the middle of nowhere that the need to pee was just too great! So yeah, birds, I'm afraid of birds.

All you had to do was Stay // Who is someone you wish was still in your life?
Without stating the obvious like my family and friends who have passed away, or the baby we never got to hold, I would like to choose someone from my past who is still with us, but no longer in my life. I had a best friend in secondary school, we stayed friends long after school ended. We lived together in our first flat away from the parents, and I was there the day she found out she was expecting her first child. We did everything together and then, as so often happens, we started to drift apart. We stayed in touch though and still met up occasionally until she and her partner moved down to England with their brood of three. I often think about how we would be much better friends now that we are both grown up, and we do have each other of Facebook but it's not the same. So yeah, I miss my first real best friend.

Shake it Off // What is something you have had to shake off?
So many things! Surely everybody has many things every day that they have to shake off? I think the most common thing in my life is the complete mind-boggling ignorance of the general public. These are the people that think it's okay to walk right in front of you while you are pulling a huge metal trolley on wheels. The people that read the name on your tag as Amanda-Jaied, and then proceed to call you Amanda. The people that assume because you work in hospitality you are somehow not as good as them, and the people that flat out just don't listen when you talk. To them I say: "This trolley will run you over, and I will laugh and laugh! My name is Amanda-Jaied, you calling me Amanda is lazy and the equivalent of me calling you Ja if your name is Jason! I have a bachelors degree with honours, and I get to see the country every day, while you sit in an office and stress about someone using your coffee mug! And finally If I am walking through the train with a bin bag asking for rubbish, I am not in any position to make you a coffee, use your ears and stop being a twat." And now I'm shaking it off.

Wish You Would // What is something you would like to happen right now?
I want to start a family. Simple as that really, lol.

Bad Blood // Have you ever had someone stab you in the back?
When someone finds you at your lowest point in life, and sees that maybe you might be getting some more attention than them for a change, they then proceed to lie to those around you in order to bring the attention back to them...that's the same as being stabbed in the back right? That's all I will say on the matter because she doesn't deserve any space in my blog, my mind or my life.

Wildest Dreams // What would you like to be remembered for?
For being an amazing author, a caring wife, and a nurturing mother.

How you Get the Girl // What is your favourite pick up line?
Grab an ice cube, go over to the person you want to chat-up's table, place the ice cube on the table, smash it with a glass and then say..."now I've broken the ice my name's [insert your name here]..." simple, funny, and I'm sure more effective than "I'd swipe right on you!".

This Love // What is something you got back that you never thought you would?
My smile! How bloody cheesy is that? But yeah, a lot happened a couple of years ago and I honestly never thought I could smile again but thanks to my DH, my family, friends and my ever growing support network, I am smiling, and pulling funny faces, and laughing and having a bloody great time!

I Know Places // Where is one place you always feel safe?
My mum and dad's house. There is always room for us there, they are always ready with a hug (I don't care if I'm 27 I still sometimes need a hug from my daddy, damnit!) and anytime I am scared, or angry the first place I think of is their home.

Clean // What is an important lesson you have learned in life, and how did you learn it?
Honestly I think the most important thing I've learned is that other people's opinions of you DO NOT BLOODY MATTER. You should never change yourself, or hide pieces of yourself, in order to make someone else happy. Make sure you are happy with you, screw other people. You cannot be happy with other people unless you are happy in yourself first. I think experience has taught me this, that and age...when I hit 25 I really just stopped caring. You don't like me? That's your loss because I'M FABULOUS!! ;-).

And that's it! I'm off to work (with Taylor blasting of course) and I tag YOU! If you want to do it, do it and let me know so I can check out your answers.

We Love... #5

Hey guys!!

Right I decided I would do the We Love... post a little bit differently to kick off this new month. So instead of a weekly round up featuring a guest, this special edition will be a round-up of what I've loved in the month of February. Hope you like it :-).

Hart of Dixie
Season 4, in particular. I used to watch Hart of Dixie quite religiously, and then it went on this hugely long hiatus, I moved house and we decided against getting a TV subscription, so my viewing habits changed somewhat. But in the last couple of weeks I remembered that it had started airing again in the States so DH downloaded it for me and Monday nights have become Hart of Dixie nights...it is actually on in the background while I write this post.
Hart of Dixie cast
Also side-bar: Rachel Bilson had a baby and called it Briar Rose which is only the name of my favourite Disney princess so I also love her!!

My Angel Wings family
Angel Wings is a group close to my heart and on 23rd of February they celebrated their 2nd birthday!! In what has become a time honoured tradition every birthday is celebrated with an awareness event and family get together in Glasgow. I travelled down to help out and see my ladies and it was so much fun. We spent the afternoon on Buchanan Street handing out fliers about what Angel Wings does, with Fiona dancing around in a minion outfit, and then a bunch of us met for dinner at the Living Room.

Sorry for the photo overload there! These are just a few from the whole day.

Date Days
For so long our little live has been missing one thing...date night!! Damian and I are firm believers in date night, we love just setting aside some time to try out new bars and restaurants in the area and just spending time together. However so far this year date nights have been hard to come by :-(. But in February we managed to squeeze in a date day! I worked a whole week of 5am starts, which is horrendous, but has the upside of meaning I finished work before 2pm every day thus giving us the whole afternoon/evening together. We kinda just went shopping, had lunch and that was it, but it was totally enough to put a smile on my face so it makes the list!

deep fried camembert, slain's castle, aberdeen

fish and chips, slain's castle, aberdeen

Millies Cookies, giant cookie cake. Yum
Wow, that came out way more food heavy than I remembered!! In other news, Giant Millie's Cookies are EVERYTHING, that weird brown thing at the top is deep-fried camembert which I am assured was delicious AND we discovered that Damian does fish and chips right, and I eat like a young child i.e "can I have beans with that, ooh and no green stuff!!"

And lastly, in February I have really been loving how well my blog is growing. It really goes to show that if you put effort into something it will pay off. This month I have been approached by brands, acquired loads of lovely new followers, and been invited to my first bloggers event. I am so excited for the future, and while all these things are, of course, lovely, I remember to tell myself every day that my blog was started for me, and it will continue to be my little corner of the world. So whether I get 3 views a day or 3000 my content will be the things I want to feature, and the opinions will be my own.

Thank you for reading folks.

Much Love
